January 5, 2017 by Scott Williams

Mesa 2016 Market The year 2016 will go down as a good market on the Mesa. Still, prices have paused in their upwards move that had lasted from 2012 to 2015. We are at a moment when the market is hesitating. Is it going to pick-up again? We are not quite sure. We are watching the market very closely to see if there will be a resurgence with the new year. Mesa prices, over the course of 2016 Continue Reading about Market Mojo Report : January 2017 – Mesa 2016 Market

Trumponomics: the 2017 Economy

January 2, 2017 by Scott Williams

by Mark Schniepp • January 2, 2017 With the election decided, what can you expect in 2017? In the November newsletter, I widely assumed, as did the rest of America, that Clinton would prevail on election day. And given that, economic policy and economic growth would not change much from where they were in 2016. Well as stunned as we are from the outcome of the election, if congress supports Continue Reading about Trumponomics: the 2017 Economy

2016 Mesa Wrap-up

December 5, 2016 by Scott Williams

We just had the best month of the year with 17 Mesa closings in the past 30 days. Looking at the past 12 months of sales there were 88 closings in 93109 with a median price of $1,266,000. The 12 months prior to that had 97 closings with a median price of $1,230,000. That is 10 percent fewer sales with a 2.9 percent increase in sales price compared to 2015. That increase of sales price is much less Continue Reading about 2016 Mesa Wrap-up

October 24, 2016 by Scott Williams

by Mark Schniepp • October 20, 2016 Is the Campaign affecting the economy ? The debates have been raucous, the mud-slinging unprecedented, but no, the darker side of the presidential election season has not meaningfully impacted the economy. Consumer and business confi dence remains sturdy, and though overall sentiment isn’t quite as strong as in previous expansions, the current levels aren’t Continue Reading about Will the Election Change the Path of the Economy?

Montecito Connection: Time to Add On or Move?

October 24, 2016 by Scott Williams

That is the question. After their youngest of four children left home for college, they were looking for adventure as empty-nesters and decided to make the move to the Santa Barbara area from Indianapolis, Continue Reading about Montecito Connection: Time to Add On or Move?
